In early 2015, The Royal Canadian Legion North Branch No.264 forged a progressive partnership with Calgary-based developer-builder Truman Development Corporation to achieve an innovative redevelopment of the Kensington Legion’s lands within West Hillhurst, Calgary.


Located in the community of West Springs on Calgary’s west edge, Gateway is a placemaking vision that seizes the opportunity to change the trajectory of development along a suburban neighbourhood corridor (85 Street SW).

West District

West District is a proposal for a unique master planned neighbourhood in west Calgary. Located within the community of West Springs, the Plan Area is approximately 96 acres (39 hectares) in size.


EngageHub was the centrepiece of a citizen engagement effort for a master planned neighbourhood called West District. Understanding the challenges of starting a community conversation around a development vision of this scale, the developer and their multi-disciplinary design team set out to craft a new approach to privately-led public engagement in Calgary.

Upper West

Upper West is smart growth in the form of established area multi-residential infill. Located in West Hillhurst, a site comprised of three lane-oriented single-family detached homes is to be sensitively intensified to forty-five apartment-style dwellings within a street-oriented four-storey building form. .

Spitzee Crossing

The Spitzee Crossing Area Structure Plan envisions a vibrant, healthy, and prosperous community within the Town of High River. Spitzee Crossing is comprised of five distinct, yet integrated neighbourhoods designed to support nearly 12,000 residents and 3,200 jobs.

The Prairies

The Prairies' Area Structure Plan encompasses over 390 acres of land and is envisioned as a collection of great residential neighbourhoods that builds on the vitality of the Town of Strathmore.

The Slopes

The Slopes at Sylvan Lake Concept Plan was the first time Lacombe County’s progressive Lakeshore Residential policies and regional servicing strategies were put to the test. The Slopes at Sylvan Lake is a resort residential neighbourhood that recognizes and respects its proximity to Sylvan Lake and the Summer Village of Birchcliff.

The Lake, Artesia & The Ranche at Heritage Pointe

The Lake, Artesia, and The Ranche are part of a master planned residential community contained within of The Hamlet of Heritage Pointe.

Hawk’s Landing

Hawks Landing at Priddis Greens is commonly referred to as being “The Community Designed by Nature”. This was the goal of CivicWorks when we undertook the community design of 118 housing units around the 9-hole expansion of the Priddis Greens Golf course.
