University Innovation Quarter (UIQ) — formerly University Research Park at the University of Calgary — is a 76-acre site being transformed into Calgary’s premier mixed-use innovation district. Located next to the University of Calgary, UIQ already hosts a vibrant ecosystem of startups and research organizations.
The redevelopment modernizes aging infrastructure and enhances connectivity, creating a comprehensive environment with research labs, office spaces, collision spaces, residential units, and retail amenities. UIQ aims to support and advance innovation in Calgary by fostering a dynamic network for science, technology, and entrepreneurial ventures.
