North Silverado

Completing the community of Silverado

North Silverado is a 41-acre Outline Plan designed as a natural extension of the existing neighbourhood fabric of Silverado, a developing southwest Calgary community. The Plan provides 734 new units and a diverse mix of housing options, situated within high quality streetscapes and an integrated open space network that connects to the existing community.

The Plan applies leading edge low-impact design strategies and environmental sustainability measures by taking advantage of natural infrastructure and employing stormwater management best practices. The neighbourhood design preserves existing wetlands, drainage courses and riparian areas, by incorporating these natural features into the recreational open space network. Among the neighbourhood’s unique design features is a pollinator park – a green space that provides habitat, food, and shelter for various pollinating species in an effort to encourage population recovery and growth.
