Zach coordinates and leads a wide range of projects through the planning and approvals process across several jurisdictions. His work spans a variety of scales, though he is particularly passionate about ‘Missing Middle’ housing and the opportunity to sensitively integrate more diverse and equitable housing options in established neighbourhoods. Zach also lends his experience and expertise to members of the Studio on projects navigating emergent and often complex approvals and development appeals processes. Detail-oriented and gregarious by nature, Zach approaches conversations about urban growth and change with a balance of expert knowledge and good humour.

When not in the office, you can often find Zach swimming laps at the Lindsay Park pool or sipping a beer with friends on the patio at one of Calgary’s many craft breweries. He and his husband Ben are avid travellers and find inspiration in great cities – current standouts include Tokyo, Buenos Aires, and Copenhagen.
